Orientation To College And The Course
Student services staff will organise your orientation. On your first day at our college the team will welcome you, answer your questions and give you information about:
  • Your stay in Australia
  • Accommodation, finances and further study
  • Requirements to receive a qualification
  • Certificates issued on successful completion of the course
  • How your skills, knowledge and attitudes will be assessed
  • Recognition of prior learning or recognition of current competency
  • How you can appeal if you don’t agree with your assessment outcome
  • How you can complain if you are not satisfied with any part of the course
  • How you can get extra help with your learning
  • Course timetable and attendance
  • Course content
  • Emergency evacuation procedures
  • Your obligations as a student, including requirements for achieving satisfactory course progress.
  • You must attend an orientation session and sign off on this activity.
Facilities And Equipment
The INT College campus is fully equipped and conducive to your learning experience. Facilities include large training rooms with smart technology and a fully functional clinical simulation room. Students have access to all the necessary instructional materials and equipment and Wi-Fi throughout the building.

Training facilities include:

  • Toilet facilities to cater for all students, including ambulatory access

  • Ample parking immediately adjacent to the campus

Overseas Student Health Cover
Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) is a government requirement. Family includes the student, the spouse of the student and any dependent children of the student up to 18 years of age who have been authorised to enter and remain with the student and who are residing at the same place of residence as the student in Australia.

Medibank Private and Australian Health Management are organisations that provide services to international students.

You can talk to our reception if you need any help in regards to arrangement of a Medibank card or an Australian Health Management card. Education Support And Learner Support
The education support strategies used by trainers at INT College include:
  • Pre-teaching technical terminology.
  • Demonstrating procedures.
  • Providing opportunities for ‘hands-on’ experience and practice.
  • Ensuring individual support and advice to students.
  • Encouraging students to work at their own pace.
  • We offer additional tutorial times for students to work in smaller groups with their trainer.
Course Timetable
Timetables and room allocations are set in advance but are subject to change. Timetables will be emailed to students depending on which courses they are studying. New students will receive a timetable at orientation.
Language, Literacy And Numeracy Support
We aim at all times to provide a positive and rewarding learning experience for all students. Our enrolment form asks you to provide information regarding Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) requirements or any other special learning needs. In the event LLN becomes a concern, you can contact the Student Administration team to discuss your requirements.

Tuition Protection Service

The Tuition Protection Service (TPS) is a placement and refund service for international students, which is activated in the event that your provider is unable to teach your course. Visit the TPS website for more information, at www.tps.gov.au.

Registered Training Organisation
As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), INT College is bound to comply with the Australian Quality Framework (AQF) and Standards for RTO’s 2015, as specified by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA).

Arrival
Getting around Sydney is very easy. There is ample public transportation including an extensive bus, train, light rail network, which is safe and reliable. For students requiring the College’s assistance to arrange a pick up service from Sydney International Airport upon arrival, please let us know at least 14 days in advance. Please note the cost of transportation will be borne by the student. Indicative costs will be provided once you contact and request the service. Our friendly staff will help make sure you arrive safely at your accommodation.

There are a number of websites and resources to make finding shared or private accommodation in Sydney very easy. In addition, INT College can arrange accommodation for students who need assistance. If you require us to arrange accommodation for you, please let us know at least 14 days before your arrival in Australia. (Fee: AU$ 250.00)
